The last wall of the kingdom is about to come under siege. Kingsguard TD: Heroes & Magic is a fantasy roguelite tower defense game for iOS and Android, launching on 7 February 2027. Pre‑registration on Google Play and the App Store opens soon – and you can sign up for launch alerts today.
What is Kingsguard TD: Heroes & Magic?
Kingsguard TD is a hero-based tower defense game with roguelite runs. Instead of placing towers along a winding path, you defend a single castle wall. Waves of goblins, splitting skeletons, weaving flyers, siege catapults and towering bosses march down the battlefield. Your heroes fight from behind the battlements – and if the wall falls, the run is over.
Every battle plays out differently because of three systems working together:
- Hero drafting – recruit up to five heroes mid-battle.
- Boons – choose one of three upgrades whenever your boon meter fills.
- Ultimate Chains – cast hero ultimates back to back to trigger combo finishers.
Five heroes, four elements
Five heroes have been revealed so far, each bound to one of four elements:
| Hero | Element | Ultimate |
|---|---|---|
| Bowmaster | Wind | Arrow Barrage |
| Blademaster | Wind | Bladestorm |
| Pyromancer | Fire | Fire Wall |
| Cleric | Light | Wave of Light |
| Chakram | Physical | Spinning Chakram |
Enemies have their own weaknesses and resistances – Skeletons crumble to Light but shrug off Wind, while Flyers are weak to Wind – so the team you build matters. Meet them all on the heroes page.
Every run evolves
Fallen enemies drop elixir that fills your boon meter. When it bursts, you choose one of three boons: arrows that ricochet into homing splinters, tornadoes that return along their path, fireballs that summon a phoenix every fifth cast. Do not like the draft? Reroll it. Learn more in Boons Explained.
Chain your ultimates
Every hero attack charges that hero’s ultimate. Cast one and a five-second chain window opens – cast another before it closes to build a chain. When the window ends, every hero in the chain unleashes a combo finisher at once. Here is how it works.
Bosses that break the rules
The Spider Queen webs your heroes and slows their attacks until you tap them free. The Skeleton Reanimator raises fresh skeletons in waves. The Goblin Warlord is a pure test of whether your build deals enough damage, fast enough. Study them all in the bestiary.
Modes and progression
- Campaign – escalating stages with three objectives each.
- Endless – infinite waves and rotating bosses for high scores.
- Boss Raid – a weekly climb against a growing raid boss, with a favoured element and a leaderboard.
- Farms – resource stages with a hand-picked team.
Between battles you strengthen your wall and garrison, master your heroes, fill a shared rune board, draw sigils and craft artifact sets – and your garrison keeps earning while you are away.
