Meet the Kingsguard: Five Heroes Defending the Wall
From the Bowmaster’s ricocheting arrows to the Chakram’s endless bounces, meet the five revealed heroes of Kingsguard TD: Heroes & Magic and what makes each unique.
Five heroes stand on the last wall of the kingdom. You can field up to five at once, drafting them mid-battle as the fight demands. Heroes never take damage – only the wall can fall – but each one fights in a completely different way.
Bowmaster – Wind sharpshooter

- Attack: fires an arrow at the closest enemy, striking the first foe in its path.
- Ultimate – Arrow Barrage: marks enemies across the battlefield, then rains volleys of arrows on each mark.
- Chain finisher: fires an arrow at every enemy on screen, knocking them back and stunning them.
The Bowmaster turns single shots into storms. Ricochet Tips splits arrow hits into homing mini arrows, Seeking Arrows makes them bounce again, and Explosive Shots makes them detonate. Eagle Eye marks enemies so the whole team hits them harder.
Blademaster – Wind storm duelist

- Attack: hurls a tornado that passes through enemies, cutting everything in its path.
- Ultimate – Bladestorm: conjures a huge bladestorm that hunts from enemy to enemy.
- Chain finisher: giant air slashes sweep both flanks, hurling enemies toward the centre.
Because tornadoes pierce, the Blademaster shines against packed waves. Returning Storm sends each tornado back along its path, Tempest Rhythm doubles every fourth tornado, and Blade Vacuum drags enemies into the vortex.
Pyromancer – Fire caster

- Attack: launches a fireball that explodes on impact, splashing nearby enemies.
- Ultimate – Fire Wall: a wall of flame stretches across the battlefield, burning and slowing everything that crosses it.
- Chain finisher: a towering column of fire erupts down the centre of the battlefield.
Fire splash is the natural answer to swarms – and to Skeletons, which split into three smaller skeletons when destroyed. Scorching Ground leaves burning floors, Chain Ignition makes burning enemies explode, and Flame Phoenix summons a phoenix with every fifth fireball.
Cleric – Light channeler

- Attack: channels a beam of light that keeps damaging every enemy it touches.
- Ultimate – Wave of Light: sweeps the whole battlefield, damaging enemies and leaving them vulnerable.
- Chain finisher: slows every enemy on the battlefield to a crawl.
The Cleric is the team’s force multiplier. Judgement makes enemies take extra damage from every source, Penance slows them, Reflection bounces the beam off the battlefield’s edges, and Recovery even heals the wall. The super boon Twin Beam adds a second beam.
Chakram – Physical ricochet specialist

- Attack: throws a chakram that bounces off the edges of the battlefield, slicing everything it passes.
- Ultimate – Spinning Chakram: spinning blades shred enemies and drag them into the centre.
- Chain finisher: a colossal chakram appears at the centre of the battlefield and keeps growing.
Physical damage is what Goblin Archers fear. Momentum increases damage with every bounce, Split End breaks the chakram into two at the end of its flight, and Caltrops litters the lane with traps. The super boon Huge Chakram makes it bigger and faster.
Building a team
There is no single best line-up. A few principles:
- Cover your elements. Every enemy has its own weaknesses and resistances – see the bestiary.
- Mix single-target and area damage. Tanks need burst; Skeleton swarms need splash.
- Plan your chain. Heroes whose ultimates charge at different speeds still chain if you time them inside the five-second window – learn how.
